In-Dependent Living ("the App") is operated by Theory Solutions LLC ("we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our App.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly when you create an account and use the App, including:
- Name and email address
- Role (Independent or Caregiver)
- Medication names, dosages, and schedules you enter
- Calendar events you create (including private events stored locally)
- Activity data synced from Apple Health or Apple Watch (steps, flights, heart rate, calories)
- Emergency contact names and phone numbers
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information solely to operate and improve the App. Specifically:
- To display your data on your home screen and share relevant information with linked family members
- To send push notifications for medication reminders and caregiver alerts
- To process subscription payments through Apple's App Store
- To respond to support requests you submit
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
3. Privacy Controls
You are in control of your data. Specifically:
- Calendar events marked "Private" are never shared with linked caregivers. Caregivers only see the time slot as "Busy."
- You can unlink caregivers at any time from the Settings screen.
- You can delete your account and all associated data from the Settings screen at any time.
4. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored securely using Supabase, a cloud infrastructure provider, with industry-standard encryption in transit and at rest. We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information.
5. Third-Party Services
The App uses the following third-party services:
- Apple App Store — subscription billing and payment processing
- RevenueCat — subscription management and entitlement tracking
- Supabase — secure cloud database and authentication
- Apple HealthKit — activity data (only accessed with your explicit permission)
6. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
